Cardi B amazing. This year’s Met Gala is Cardi B’s first, she already has some love for the event. She and now fiance, Offset made their first appearance as an official couple at a Met Gala afterparty last year, according to Elite Daily, and she glowed while attending his Met Gala themed birthday party this past December. Now, she can say she’s been to the real deal (with Rihanna as a host, no less), and she’s gone full on with the theme of heavenly bodies.

Cardi B use and follow the bump-revealing ruched dress she wore on Saturday Night Live last month, Cardi walked her first Met Gala red carpet in a similarly dramatic Moschino look with the designer himself, Jeremy Scott, by her side that proved a regal display of her growing belly.

Scott’s design found the Bronx-born rapper covered in jewels from head to toe, quite literally. Cardi donned a bedazzled headpiece, an extra-thick choker, bejeweled gloves, and the scoop neck gown itself was covered in ruby red and sapphire blue stones. Similarly Scott donned a bedazzled jacket and pants, but it was undeniably Cardi’s ultra-dramatic gown that stole all of the spotlight. She’s undeniably at the peak of her rap game right now and tonight she solidified herself as one of this year’s best-dressed stars at the Met Gala, too.

Amazingly, La’ Pearl has figured out a way to prevent almost all of Cardi B’s makeup from budging throughout a major event. “I ensure that Cardi’s makeup doesn’t move throughout the evening,” she tells Allure. “Cardi has amazing skin, so the only product she needs is her lip color,” she says about sending her client onto the red carpet, with barely any need for touch-ups.
